PRESIDENTS ALI BONGO ONDIMBA AND OUATTARA
TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM SOCIAL MEDIA LIVE
H.E. Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of the Gabonese Republic, and H.E. President Alassane Dramane Ouattara, President of the Ivory Coast, will take to the stage at the closing session of The New York Forum AFRICA (NYFA) this evening (June 16) and will take questions from Twitter and Facebook live on stage.
To ask a question, users of social media should use the hashtag #NYFA2013 after their question. Questions will be taken from 0900-1900 (WAT, UTC+1).
Please include name, age, and country with each submission.

The social media session will come after an afternoon entitled Inspiration, where a group of visionaries from art, culture and sport will discuss how they have used their fame to inspire today’s youth. President Ouattara will also deliver a speech at the closing session, the eighth head of state to speak on stage at this year’s NYFA.
Speakers in the Inspiration session include Andrew Young, 14th US Ambassador to the United Nations; Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, founder, Charismatic Movement of Ghana; Alek Wek, supermodel and UN Refugee Agency Advocate; Bu Thiam, vice president of Def Jam Records; and NBA basketball player Luc Mbah a Moute.
Richard Attias, founder of the NYFA, said: “We are delighted that President Bongo and President Ouattara will take questions from social media: one of the key themes of the last three days has been the next generation, and how we can unite the public and private sectors to create more jobs and more opportunities.
“So, instead of just giving this message to the 1,800 visitors to the Forum, these two great African leaders wanted to give young people the chance to tell them directly what they want for their future.”
